Hollywood 2011

While living in Los Angeles, I actually visited Hollywood a lot. Mainly because I love live music and standup comedy, and quickly discovered that going to Hollywood venues was a super cheap way to see A-list megastars performing in intimate venues. You could never guarantee who you’d end up seeing, or even if anyone famous would appear on stage. But it happened pretty regularly, so I just kept heading to the Hollywood music venues and comedy clubs a few times every month. I haven’t got any photos of that though. Why? Because it’s exceptionally rude to pull out a camera in the middle of a live show, and suggests you’re not actually paying attention to what the artist has chosen to share with you. But I’ll admit I was very tempted when Tim Allen suddenly strolled on stage unannounced. Yet somehow restrained myself. He was fantastic, by the way.

When Prince rocked up on stage one day when I was at a concert on the Sunset Strip… I couldn’t help but pull out the camera! #Ashamed But the pictures came out so dark they were unusable. 🙁
