Alum Rock Road (July 2021)

It’s one day before the festival of Eid al-Adha (aka “big Eid”) – which is the most important celebration of the Islamic year. In preparation, most Muslims will go out shopping for clothes, jewellery, food, and presents for loved ones. And, just like for Christmas, there are plenty of last-minute shoppers rushing to the stores.

Alum Rock Road in Birmingham was absolutely heaving with people today. So I decided to head there to do some “street photography” using my new-ish Canon M6 and an 80mm-equivalent F1.8 vintage lens (which is absolutely the wrong lens for the job!).
